On the blog-entry of november 14, I encountered a story on Abby, a girl that was reading from a book to her mother. The girl loves to read. I started this blog because I simply love to write. I love to ride the creative snake (I'm slightly hypnotised by Kaa since the recent AH-campaign and I still like the Doors) and see what my mind produces.
The blogger, the newman team, writes that Abby has got to be a 'line leader'. I really don't know what a 'line leader' is, so I am going to look it up in the 'Dikke van Dale' , but I cannot find it there either. Perhaps I should ask the Newman Team themselves what is the meaning of that word. They must be willing to help someone from the Netherlands, wouldn't they?
The blog-entry ends with the words from Abby: "You're the best mom I could ever hope for". Well, I would surely like to hear that from my daughter one day! I do believe she still likes me a lot. I guess she's a bit younger that Abby. Ah, I see, she's four-years old. My daughter is 3 years old.
Well, so much for this random blog trip.

Hi 719 - it's Abby's mom. Thanks for your blog comment. You surprised me just a bit - it's usually only the grandparents who read the blog! If you were to ask Abby what a line leader is, she would tell you it's one of the most important jobs at preschool (prayer leader being the other important job!) - at the beginning of the morning, she has to ask the kids in her class to line up in a line and she leads them to their classroom. It's up to her to make sure everyone follows in an orderly fashion....so, nothing that exciting, but for a 4 year old, it's pretty cool! Take care!
